1. Runs big and long In a typical dress size, I am between a 4 and a 6. The last AK dress I ordered in a 6 was large and had to be exchanged for a 4. This dress turned out to have the same problem as the other one: even in the 4, the dress is slightly large (I’m a little scared to go down to a 2) and very long. I’m 5’4″, average weight and I have a shorter torso (longer legs.) The dress (and the other AK one I got) hit me below the knees. I’m taking the other one in for adjustment, but this one is being returned. One of the reasons I’m choosing not to keep this dress is because although the fit is flattering (although the length is not), the skirt part of the dress is pretty see-through. I’d have to wear a slip with it, even though it looks like it comes with a slip (the “slip” is actually a thin black material that would normally make a slip, but since the dress is lace, the “slip” is what you see through the lace.)Overall, AK dresses are well-made, but it’s definitely for taller people. Keep in mind as you shop!
